Department of Computer Science

The Department of Computer science was established in the year 1997 and is now recognized as one of the leading departments with infrastructure and facilities to match the very best in the state. The department remains committed to providing students with the fundamental knowledge and problem-solving skills in computer science required for a fulfilling career and to create and disseminate knowledge to improve Computer science research, education and practice.

The department focuses on empowering students with competencies in theoretical, programming, communication, team work, organization and management skills. It also strives to shape outstanding computer professionals with ethical and human values to reshape nation's destiny. The training imparted aims to prepare young minds for the challenging opportunities in the IT industry with a global awareness rooted in the Indian soil, nourished and supported by experts in the field.

Computer विभाग द्वारा आॅनलाइन प्रश्नोत्तरी का आयोजन किया गया। प्रश्नोत्तरी मे Computer Fundamental के कुल 10 प्रश्न दिये गये थे जिसके 4 विकल्प थे उनमें से 1 सही उत्तर को चुनना था। जिसमें महाविद्यालय के 214 से अधिक छात्र-छात्राओं ने आॅनलाइन भाग लिया। प्रतिभागियों को ई-प्रमाण पत्र उनके पंजीकृत मेल में तुरंत उपलब्धि पर किया गया।

अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय योग दिवस के अवसर पर श्री शंकराचार्य महाविद्यालय जुनवानी, भिलाई के कम्प्युटर विभाग द्वारा आनलाईन फिटनेश प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया। जिसका विषय- Digital Competition on "Fitness Awareness Through Digital Media" था। इस प्रतियोगिता में विभिन्न विद्यालय, महाविद्यालय के छात्रा-छात्रओं सहित गैर-शैक्षिणिक कर्मचारियों ने भी भाग लिया। इस प्रतियोगिता में 100 से अधिक विडियों प्राप्त हुए। विडियों भेजने के लिए 15 दिन का समय दिया गया था। विद्यालयीन प्रतिभागियों में प्रथम स्थान विशाल कुशवाहा (मार बेसेलियस विद्याभवन, शांति नगर भिलाई), द्वितीय स्थान गुलाब सिंह (शारदा विद्यालय, रामनगर, भिलाई) एवं तृतीय स्थान राशी पाण्डेय (शंकराचार्य विद्यालय सेक्टर-10, भिलाई) ने प्राप्त किया महाविद्यालयीन प्रतिभागियों में प्रथम स्थान सिद्धार्थ श्याम (बी.सी.ए. प्रथम वर्ष), द्वितीय स्थान अमित कुमार ठाकुर ( बी.सी.ए. प्रथम वर्ष), तृतीय स्थान आर. सौजन्या (बी.सी.ए. द्वितीय वर्ष) ने प्राप्त किया। महाविद्यालयीन कर्मचारियों में प्रथम स्थान श्री प्रवीण वर्मा, द्वितीय स्थान श्री बबलू साहनी एवं तृतीय स्थान श्री आर. विष्णु ने प्राप्त किया।
